Taylor
Taylor Swift may be the most unique of pop artists: one who could effectively bridge the gap between pop and country music, conquering the globe. Swift shed her country roots as though they were part of her skin, revealing she was arguably the smartest popular singer/songwriter in her generation one who could harness the mood of the moment and personalize it and just as impressively perform the reverse. The evidence was clear in her early songs, particularly in her neo tribute of Tim McGraw. On her 2nd album, Fearless (2008), Swift revealed a singer/songwriter who was beginning to understand herself. The album was a huge success, not just on American soil, with six platinum-certified singles. In fact, the Top Ten songs Love Story & the hit song You Belong with Me were the main reasons for this. However, it did well all over the world. Swift managed to build upon her progress through Speak Now almost two year following. She grew in popularity throughout her subsequent three albums: Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift had now established herself in the genre she was a part of. While she reduced her work with folklore and Evermore albums in the year 2020, she was leading the way in pop music.
