Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She founded The Huffington Post, is the founder and CEO of Thrive Global as well an writer of 15 novels. Arianna Huffington works as an author, philanthropist, television host, and also the proprietor of The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was in Greece and relocated to England when she was sixteen. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA of Economics. Being the first non-English-speaking student, she was elected President of The Cambridge Union' at age 21. The success of her conservative columnist was consolidated after she graduated. With the introduction of The Huffington Post a few years later, she created an online platform for voice that gave an honest assessment of the current state of the nation's politics. Her popularity enabled her to get a variety of stars to voice their views on current events, culture and politics. Arianna rose to fame when she made the decision to stand independently in the California recall vote to succeed then Governor Davis. Alongside this, she led the Detroit Project to develop fuel efficient cars. Forbes declared her to be as one of the "most important female" in media, placing her at 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of the 100 most important media figures in 2009. AOL bought The Huffington Post from AOL in the year 2011. Then she was appointed the head of AOL's media group. It was comprised of several AOL-owned brands, including Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Their parents are Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos. They were an expert in management and a journalist. Her character was formed by her closeness to her mother and her bond with her dad, despite being extremely close to him. At an early age, she showed leadership abilities which are still widely admired. When she was 16 she moved back to United Kingdom to pursue her education and was enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. As a student, she joined the Cambridge Union, a college debate group. As the third woman president and the first foreigner she served as the head of Cambridge Union. In 1972, her Master's in Economics was conferred. In the years following her degree she worked as a journalist-critic and TV host. Her appearance in Face the music with Bernard Levin was also noteworthy. She started writing books with his guidance for editing.
